About Career Management
The Career Management Group provides services and support for CEO
Netweavers and Netweaver Partners throughout their business careers. The primary
focus is on those who are in career transition. Using an array of resources, the
Career Management Group is here to help in-transition members get their search
started more quickly, reduce the time in transition, and find the best possible
new career opportunity. These resources would include the combined knowledge and
experience of the entire CEO Netweavers membership, outside services such as
national outplacement and executive search firms, and when appropriate, a
one-on-one relationship with an In-Transition Guide.Members coming into the
organization may already be in-transition for a period of time, or existing
members may find themselves entering into a period of transition. Wherever you
are, there is a point of entry into our Career Management program.
Services
In-Transition Orientation - The purpose of this orientation is to
on the services available to those in-transition.
Mentor and Mentor Buddies - Mentors are available to evaluate where
member participants are on their search path and help make sure they are on the
right path (attitude, resume, targets, active etc). Mentor Buddies help member
participants navigate through CEO Netweavers so they can meet others and get
involved in the organization.
Needs and Leads – This forum provides the ability to share job leads
with fellow in-transition members and assist in connections. All communications
with in-transition members are done with this group.
Resources –
CEO Netweavers provides member participants with many of the same or similar
resources that are available through the Outplacement Firms.
In-Transition Guides – These fellow members have been selected and
trained to act as member participants'personal support during their search.
Together they establish meeting times and goals. They are member
participants'support when they stumble, and a cheerleader through the
milestones. This can foster lifelong relationships.
Outplacement Firm Assistance Qualification – Outplacement Firm
Assistance Qualification – Many of the national outplacement firms have offered
their services (as available) free of charge to Netweaver members. The goal of
this assistance is to educate member participants' on the ever-changing market
for candidates and provide answers to the following questions, among others:
- What do I need to know to be successful?
- Is my resume appealing to the current market?
- Does it reflect updated terminology?
- How do I utilize all the resources available, including the internet, to
find my ideal opportunity?
The intent of this offering is to spend 90 days getting you established in
the search. Please DO NOT contact these companies directly, but instead let
Administration know of your interest. They manage these outplacement openings
and you must work through them to be included.
Search Firm Liaison – This team is designed to help promote member
participants to recruiters that are Friends of the Organization. Additionally,
they are the face of CEO Netweavers to the recruiting community when they have
needs in locating the right candidates.
Entrepreneurial Career Path – For some, the position that they left is
no longer open to them for a variety of reasons. This group will offer guidance
and suggestions on entrepreneurial career paths such as consulting, purchasing a
business, etceteras.
