Tino Mantella became the President and CEO of The Turknett Group in 2018 and he has over 30 years of experience leading some of the nation’s largest and most distinguished not-for-profit organizations including the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, the National Arthritis Foundation, and the Technology Association of Georgia. He supervised a team of over 4,500 employees during his years at the Chicago Y and they had programs that ranged from gang intervention to foster care to providing housing. The YMCA and Mantella, during his tenure, were one of the first not-for-profits ever recognized with the prestigious George Land award for Innovation. At the Arthritis Foundation, during Mantella’s tenure, the organization distributed over $50 million dollars to help find cures for debilitating diseases.

For 2022 the Houston Chapter of CEO Netweavers planned to expand our outreach and establish a relationship to support the University of Houston - Downtown Campus and their MBA students - the largest MBA program in the State.  Most students are first generation college students without a deep support network.  On April 21st, volunteers from the Chapter participated in a Meet-The-Industry event where students interacted with executives representing various professional disciplines to talk about the "real world" of the job, success factors, career paths and other issues to help guide educational and career decisions.  It was a successful program that we intend to continue and build on.  

Maxine Todd, Assistant Director of the Career Center, sent the following note to our participants. "Thank you for taking the time out of your extremely busy schedule to speak with our students at our Meet the Industry event on April 21st. Students appreciated you imparting the skills and mindset it takes to succeed in the business world and they gained valuable insight into your company and career. We hope it was a positive experience for you as well. Jason Jones shared best practices, checklists and key strategies for companies who are creating effective hybrid workplaces. This was presented live in April of 2022 in Atlanta, GA.

Lauren previously served as the General Counsel for FOCUS Brands where she was instrumental in the rapid growth of the licensing and franchise programs.

Lauren holds an undergraduate degree from Stetson University, as well as a Juris Doctorate and MBA from Emory University. A Florida native, she has called Atlanta home for almost two decades
